SUCCESSFUL VERDICT IN A SEXUAL HARASSMENT AND INDECENT EXPOSURE CASE. My client, a Teacher of the Year in a local school district, was charged with exposing his penis to a teenager in a bathroom stall at a department store. He was represented by another attorney in family Court and was found guilty. On appeal, I represented him in a Superior Court jury trial. I had a mock-up of a bathroom stall fabricated, and installed in the courtroom, to demonstrate how my client could not have committed the acts as alleged. The jury found my client NOT GUILTY of all charges. My client was reinstated as a teacher and continues his reputation as a gifted and desired teacher.

My client was arrested after a traffic stop in which the police discovered 10,000 bags of heroin, estimated to be worth $50,000 to $100,000, in a secret compartment in his vehicle. If convicted, my client was facing over 30` years of minimum incarceration. It was one of the largest seizures of heroin by the State police in history. DEATH PENALTY CASE. Client, a maximum security inmate, was charged with the murder of another inmate. The first trial resulted in a hung jury. The jury in the second trial found him guilty. Client ordered me not to argue against the death penalty in the sentencing phase of the proceeding. As a result, the jury voted 12-0 in favor of the death penalty. I was successful on appeal to the Delaware Supreme Court and obtained a new trial. In the third trial, the jury convicted my client of the homicide. I persuaded my client to allow me to put a mitigation case on to fight against the death penalty. He agreed. After I presented a mitigation case for my client, the jury voted 8-4 in favor of a life sentence, as opposed to a death sentence. My client avoided a death sentence.

Client, a graduate school student who was working part-time as a gas station clerk was charged with entering the bathroom and engaging in unlawful sexual contact with a female patron.
